What is the course all about. What is the broad topic, what are the main aspects to be covered?

The OERup! training aims at fostering the implementation of open educational practices in adult learning. Within a blended-learning format, adult education teaching professionals as well as the staff and management of adult learning institution will be trained in reusing, revising, remixing, and redistributing open educational resources. Further, participants will engage in setting up strategies for open educational practices in their professional environment.
The training contains virtual learning activities (self-directed learning, expert-webinars, etc. ..). Furthermore, it foresees the development of initial OEP projects during a face to face workshop, of which first steps of the implementation process will be accompanied by tutor support and peer mentoring.

                Didactical Concept

ανάρτηση από Ines Kreitlein στην κατηγορία: Outline
Please describe the key aspects of the didactical / instructional design

The training is based on a blended-learning concept:

                First engagement:
                • An opening webinar shall "pick up" the learner and familiarze him/her with the course structure (e.g. timing) and delivery (tools in use), and give an overall introduction of the topic. (for the pilot training, the learner will be informed about the evaluation process of this pilot)

                Main content delivery:
                • key content will be given to the learner online via virtual learning activities (self-directed learning, webinars,..etc. - to be defined). This will be the core of the training. He/She will be able to choose between material for different levels. A time framework of 6-7 weeks will be given, in which the learner may chose his/her learning pace (webinars, for example, will be recorded).
                • Two modules will distinctively be targeted towards individual groups of learners: Implementing OER I and II

                Practical application:
                • after having completed the main part of the training, the course continues for those who are interested with project-based learning. During a face-to-face workshop, students may start a first OER project.

                Online coaching:
                • with virtual tutor support and peer mentoring, those who have started a first OER project will be accompanied through their first project implementation steps
                • students who have not engaged in a project will still be kept in the loop (through the google+ community, for example) about the process of project implementation, in order to learn from this practice cases.

                Final engagement:
                • a closing webinar will roundup the entire training with project showcases, lessons-learned, and future plans.

The entire course however shall remain open for interesting external input. Therefore virtual "learning nuggets" will be planned, as they come up and seem relevant. (For example: an online interview with an expert, the introduction of an OER project/initiative, etc.).

idea: a short quiz for each module may show the learner, if she/he has the required knowledge. So he/she can decide wether or not to skip this part of the training?

                • actwww

Here's a quiz/card game to learn about the combination of CC licenses http://opencontent.org/game/ Pretty neat.
