    The target group of this idea collaboration should have different experts in the field of international business:
        
    • 1. professors with expertise in cross-cultural management or social studies
    • 2. visiting lecturers with expertise in cross-cultural management or social studies
    • 3. managers with international business exeprtise or former expedriates
    • 4. qualified students with specific interest and basic knowledge in cross-cultural management
     
     
    The target group of the created course are:
        
    • 1. undergraduate students (from 4th semester)
    • 2. postgraduate students

      The target group consits of different stakeholders: educators in the field of intercultural management, visiting lecturers, managers and qualified students.

    Please describe the refined course objectives. This should be in line with module descriptions in the course syllabus.

    Aim of the course:
    This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the issues involved in cross-cultural management. It will focus on the impact of culture at the level of the individual, the team and the organisation; it will demonstrate how cultural factors influence behaviours in the workplace, and will develop some of the skills needed to manage effectively in cross-cultural situations. 
    The course will require you to reflect on your own cultural values and experiences, and help prepare you for the future challenges of an international business career.   
     
    Course objectives are:
     
    - to enhance students’ awareness (including self-awareness) of cross-cultural issues
     
    - to develop a theoretical understanding of the nature of national culture and gain the analytical skills in diagnosing and mapping cultural differences
     
    - to apply these theories and concepts to a range of different cultural and organisational settings 
     
    - to analyse and synthesise different theories and concepts and critically evaluate their usefulness in addressing the problems of managing people from different cultures 
     
    - to develop an appreciation for what it is like to live and work in another culture and the impact it has on personal emotions and behaviour.
